Which is the recommended persistence manager for mid-sized AEM 5.6 project ?

Hi Guys,

We are at verge of starting new project in AEM 5.6 and are confused in deciding which persistence manager to use.

Can any one please suggest/recommend which  persistence manager will be best suited for mid-sized AEM 5.6 project ?

Shall we go for default TarPM persistence manager or it would be good to use RDBMS based persistence manager like MYSQL.

Thanks,

Madhav

Madhav,

how many products do you want to sync? And what are the SLAs for this system?

For the beginning I would recommend to start with TarPM.

Hi,

what is "mid-sized"? Number of components? Number of nodes? Number of authors? How will the rest of the system look like? Will you have the need for many author instances? Will there be need for multi-server-hall distributions? Will there be a need for 10 second catastrofy recovery?

To many things that are unknown.

Hi Ove,

By mid-sized I mean that number of authors (users) will be around 10-15, there will be 1 author and publish instance.

System will have integration with hybris eCommerce system for syncing product information.

Thanks,

Madhav
