Hi All,

i am new to replication so everything is going above my head, we have a custom agent on publish which is created on author instance and i am unable to activate it even. when do we create a agent on publish in author and how to activate it. We do have a custom transport handler code but control is never going to it while debugging. So confused.

If this agent should be running on publish and should be triggered by an incoming replication, you should check the "on receive" in the triggers tab of your custom agent.

right, "on receive" is checked, but i am unable to activate it

So is the activation of this agent the problem you need to solve?

activation too, plus there is a transport handler written for this replication agent, i am unable to take the debug control to that

Have you already tried it on a purely local setup (meaning running author and publish on your local development machine)?

If it works locally we can most likely rule out major coding issues.

The easiest way to deploy a custom agent to publishs is probably to include it a deployment package. The next best is to create it on author and then replicate it (can be done via CRXDE).
