What all does a Segment contain?

Hi all,

Wat are all the Contents of any Segment?

Segment name, criteria of users for adding to the segment, and all user names belonging to that segment?

Probably criteria is the understanding, but not necessarily a part of a segment.

If I receive a segment from Adobe Analysis, what all does it contain?

Adobe Analytics Segment – What it contains

• Segment name

• Rules/conditions used to qualify data (segment definition)

• Scope (Hit / Visit / Visitor)

What it does not contain

• No fixed list of user names or user IDs

• No static membership

Users are evaluated dynamically at report time based on the segment rules.
So, when we receive a segment from Adobe Analytics, we receive the logic/definition, not an actual list of users.
