Websockets in AEM 6.1

Hi all,

I've unsuccessfully tried to find some documentation about how to implement websockets within AEM. Some posts say there isn't any support for websockets OOTB, and one approach to achieve it is to have an embedded web servlet container, such as Jetty.

On the other hand we have this OSGi bundle: 

com.adobe.granite.socketio

Which imports some packages for websocket handling: org.eclipse.jetty.websocket.server,version=9.2.9 from org.apache.felix.http.jetty

Is there any workaround/snippet/documentation I can look at?

What's your use case that requires Web sockets? 

As discussed in other community threads, it's not available ootb.
