Using Excel Spreadsheet to autopopulate metadata on assets in AEM 6.5

Hello. Our company is currently using AEM 6.5.

We want to auto-populate metadata for ingested assets via spreadsheet, bypassing our current manual metadata tagging.

I know this is possible because our Adobe Consultant has shared this information.

I’m sure I'm oversimplifying things, but it seems that much of the heavy lifting involves creating formulas on the spreadsheet file that would translate the metadata on the spreadsheet into the language that AEM uses.

Has anyone used this functionality successfully? I would really appreciate it any details that you could share.

Hi @markherbalife

You are right. There is an inbuilt feature in AEM Assets for importing the metadata. You can find the same along with a video tutorial here

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.
