Upload asset action component does not work in IE

The upload asset action component of asset share does not work in IE. This component however works fine in firefox.

Make sure Enable native XMLHTTP support is enabled. See [1].   OR  switch the upload to use the swfupload (flash one) and disable the html5 one.
