Unable to Open AEM Forms 6.5.12.0 WorkBench

Hi All,
I have installed AEM Forms 6.5.12.0 WorkBench on my 64 bit windows machine. It installs Workbench and Designer(clubbed with Designer) both successfully but doesn't let me open workbench while the Designer opens successfully.

please make sure that this has been installed on your local drive but on not any shared drives (one-drive etc.,) also make sure that the installation directory path should not contain # (pound) and $ (dollar) characters.

Infact, I tried a fresh installation, still the same results.

Hi @fsdfsadf , 
Yes, I got it resolved by installing the Microsoft visual redistribution packages 2008,2010,2012,2013,2015.
Please install all mentioned and see if the problem persists.
Also, please look out out for the bit version of the libraries, just to be sure you can install both the 32 bit and 64 bits .

Thanks mate, will do.

For everyone's information, we found a workaround that seems to sidestep the problem. In the directory where workbench is installed, instead of opening workbench.exe, double click on 'startup.jar'. It takes a few seconds but it opens the application ok. I am not sure what 'workbench.exe' does, besides showing the splash screen, as the application seems to be running perfectly well without it.

Perhaps Adobe can shed some light on the matter.
