Unable to integrate AEM and Campaign via Cloud Services

Hi,

In order to import AEM templates to Campaign Management, we need to connect AEM to Adobe Campaign via Cloud Services.

For that I am using same credentials as Campaign Management Client Console +  API end point

But, above details are not working.

As per Adobe Documentation:

1)AEM Integration  Package in Campaign contains ‘aemserver’ operator that will be used to connect the AEM Server to Adobe Campaign.

2)By default, no security zone is configured for this operator. To connect to Adobe Campaign via AEM, you must select one.(Done with this part)

                3) In the serverConf.xml file, the allowUserPassword attribute of the selected security zone must be set to true to authorize AEM to connect Adobe Campaign via login/password.(Not sure, how to change the attribute as we don’t have access to                         serverConf.xml file)

I tried changing the ‘aemserver’ operator password but that doesn’t seems to be working.

Below are links that I followed:

https://docs.campaign.adobe.com/doc/AC6.1/en/INS_Additional_configurations_Server_side_configuration...

https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/administer/integration/marketing-cloud/campaign/campaignonpre...

Note : For Security reasons, I have not given credentials here.

Please let me know the possible reasons for not being able to connect AEM with Campaign.

  • For integration to work needs allowUserPassword to be configured.  If you do not have access to server who ever have access ask them to verify & change.  Example:- If your campaign server is hosted by adobe, file a support request at https://support.neolane.net/webApp/extranetLogin to create a security zone for your aem server following [1] & configure allowUserPassword.
  • If it is already configured using fiddler capture the network traffic between aem/ac and attach the aem logs with export of dump.

Check the troubleshooting section here

https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/administer/integration/marketing-cloud/campaign.html#Troubles... your AEM/Adobe Campaign integration

This is a good place to start

Hi smacdonald2008,

Thanks for the link. I am actually following the steps and as per the documentation, one of the reason for connection failure is because I only have access to Campaign Client Console and not to Server Instance. It is required to do changes in serverConf.xml file. AllowUserPassword attribute in the mentioned file must be set to true to authorize AEM to connect Adobe Campaign via login/password.

I am not sure whether this is the right approach or there is some other solution to this issue.

I have sent this to support to see if there is a known issue. If you follow the docs and troubleshooting docs and still experience an issue - you may be experiencing a bug.
