Hi Guys,

I am new to groovy and trying to explore it's functionality for my work. I am facing issues with it's configuration.

I have installed org.apache.felix.webconsole.plugins.scriptconsole-1.0.2 and groovy-all-2.4.9

I can't see Groovy Console Configuration Service in system/console/systemMgr though I have installed aem-groovy-console-15.1.0

When I am running a test script in the groovy console  http://localhost:4502/system/console/sc I am getting multiple errors. Below are the errors I got:

javax.script.ScriptException: org.codehaus.groovy.control.MultipleCompilationErrorsException: startup failed:

I was also having the same issues with the release the 15.1.0 on my AEM environment... I've switched to 14.0.0, and it is working as expected, https://github.com/icfnext/aem-groovy-console/releases/tag/14.0.0 weirdly, 13.0.0 does not work as well.

Hello @zameer_abbas,

You can install the package from here: https://github.com/icfnext/aem-groovy-console/releases/download/14.0.0/aem-groovy-console-14.0.0.zip and then go to /system/console/configMgr, search for Groovy Console Configuration Service and add 'admin' to allowed groups.
Then you can go to http://localhost:4502/apps/groovyconsole.html and you should see the Groovy Console.

Hope this helps!

Hi Jineet, Thanks for the reply. I have installed the package but when I search for Groovy Console Configuration Service in configMgr it doesn't shows up in the search. http://localhost:4502/apps/groovyconsole.html isn't loading either.

Can you check in /system/console/bundles if you are able to find 'Groovy'?

I tested on vanilla AEM 6.5 and it works fine. I installed aem-groovy-console-14.0.0.zip and also tested with aem-groovy-console-15.1.0.zip. With both it works fine.

Hi @zameer_abbas

Check the compatibility table mentioned in below link for the AEM version which you are using, download the same compatible Groovy Console Version & build that project.

https://github.com/icfnext/aem-groovy-console

After deploy, access below configuration & check to enable vanity url. if you are logged-in with admin access then access http://localhost:4502/groovyconsole

I tried the whole setup on vanilla AEM 6.5 and it works. I guess there is some compatibility issue with service pack 6.5.5.0

Thanks and Regards,
