Hi team,

we're integrating latest SPA capabilities introduced recently and we've encountered a possible bug. After you copy a component and paste it in layout container, the copy component has no controls of edit.

This issue is reproducible on instance of AEM 6.4.3 with installed We.Retail Journal project.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Set up instance of AEM 6.4 with Service Pack 3 and We.Retail Journal installed.

2. Navigate to<host>:<port>/editor.html/content/we-retail-journal/react/en/home.html

3. Make a copy of any component. Do not reload the page.

Expected behavior:

newly created component appears with authoring controls.

Actual behavior:

newly created component appears without any ability to toggle controls.

A workaround for the issue is page reload.

Could you please comment on this matter?

Thank you

This does indeed sound like a bug. A Page re-load should not be required to edit components. Please log a support ticket to report this functionality.
