In AEM 6.1, we uploaded a PDF in DAM and the 'DAM Update Asset' workflow creates the subassets Folder(sling:OrderedFolder). This folder gets created as a sibling to jcr:content.

On activating the asset, the subassets folder is not getting replicated to publish instance.

The same issue occurs in AEM 6.3 as well. As OOTB, 'Create Subassets' step has been removed from the DAM Update Asset workflow in AEM 6.3. Therefore, we have created another workflow with the following steps:

  1. Create Subassets
  2. DAM Update Asset Workflow Completed

When this workflow is triggered, the subassets folder is getting created. But on activating the asset, subassets folder alone not getting replicated to publish.

Kindly let us know whether we miss something or is it bug in AEM.

Note: We checked in AEM 6.3.2.2

Thanks and Regards,

Ruben Fernando
