sling:resourceType of a Policy is getting changed once we save the policy from component level

Hi,
I have policy for a specific component and sling:resourceType of the policy is wcm/core/components/policy/policy. But once i make any changes from policy level in touch ui or save the policy without any changes , the sling:resourceType of the policy is getting changed to that component's sling:resourceType(apps/project/components/specificcomponent).

This issue is only happening one of the environment not for all the environments. I am using AEM 6.5 on-prem. Can someone suggest something here?

Is this happening when you updating policy from specific template or all the templates?

This is strange, can you compare the /conf/myproj/oneweb/settings/wcm with different environment?
