Sharing Collections via Brand Portal (for editors or viewer users)

Avatar

Hey there, does anyone here know if a Brand Portal user with Editor or Viewer level can share collections they create with other Brand Portal users? At the moment my Brand Portal instance only allows (BP) administrators to share collections with specific users. I would love users to be able to share amongst colleagues or other users (not the public option, but to specific users they want their collections to be shared with).

Hi @FabianaBa,

Unfortunately, No! I have experienced this before too:

  • Only Brand Portal Administrators can share collections with specific users or groups.

• Editors and Viewers can create their own collections, but the sharing options available to them are limited to the “Public” sharing option (link-based share). They cannot directly pick other named users within the tenant to share to.

  • This is a product limitation - it’s not something you can tweak in the UI or via configuration.

Here is what you can do:

  • Request elevated roles: If you trust certain Editors/Viewers to share responsibly, you could make them Brand Portal Admins.

  • Use Public share with password protection/expiry: Not perfect, but at least it gives them a way to circulate collections among colleagues.
