Recommended approach for Upgrade from AEM 6.1 to AEM 6.3?

Hi Experts!

For one of our client, we are upgrading the platform from AEM 6.1 to AEM 6.3. There can be two approaches -

(1) Upgrade from AEM 6.1 >> AEM 6.2 >>AEM 6.3 (Through AEM 6.2)

(2) Upgrade from AEM 6.1 >> AEM 6.3 (Direct)

Could someone please share their experience or recommendation which would be the better one. It would be great help, thanks!
