Property Index can only index a single property?

Hi All,

I've found conflicting documentation on Property Indexes and was wondering if anyone could help clarify.

This doc says that a property index can only index a single property:

https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/deploy/best-practices/best-practices-for-queries-and-indexing... or Property Indexes?

"... For example, a property index can only index a single property while a Lucene index can include many."

While this one indicates that many properties can be indexed:

https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/deploy/platform/queries-and-indexing.html#The Property Index

"The propertyNames property indicates the list of the properties that will be stored in the index."

Does anyone know which is correct?  Or, am I misunderstanding the documentation?

In my testing I seem to be able to index multiple properties with a Property Index, but just want to make sure it's ok to configure the index that way.
