Hi,

I am using Adobe Experience Manager 6.0 and I am trying to do personalization of content. I have read the docs under following links:

The main statement I could understand from those links is that:

Phase 1: A user (client) sends a request,
Phase 2: the request parameters are then stored in a CLIENT CONTEXT
Phase 3: the parameters are then read from the client context in order to determine which content (from the server side) should be shown to the user (depending on which segments the user data match)

But what I actually would like to know is:

how phase 3 actually works under the hood? Can I found its mechanisms (maybe servlets, AJAX-Skripte etc... ) in the JCR?
Is there a tutorial showing how the matching of the campaign and segment rules works under the hood?

The reason why I ask this, is that I would like to add logic to the content resolution process. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, I think I didnt get you.

There will be only one campaign that would be assigned where in that have multiple teasers which would be found based on the segments that is resolved right !

I would see segments is what needs to be resolved and not the campaign! can you help me in understanding with your use case ?

It is done frontend using JS(CQ_Ana) APIs. Refer [1]

Hi bsloki,

I have updated my question below:

Let us say:

I have several different active campaigns
and I would like to identify a campaign based on a custom parameter

Is there then a way to programmatically use the value of my custom parameter during the campaign resolution? Is there something like a "campaign manager" (similar to segment manager)

Please tell me if my question is still unclear.

P.S.: The reason why I would like to programmatically intervene in the campaign resolution process is that:

when I have several different active campaigns, the campaigns rules matching strategy (provided by AEM) might be inappropriate for me. In that case I would like to control
the resolution process and indicate which campaigns has to be selected.

I have checked the API under https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/5-6-1/javadoc/com/day/cq/personalization/TargetedContentManager.ht... but it just which getters are available.

I am rather interested in the scripts/ classes that implement the decision rules for selecting a campaign. Do you have any hint in this direction?

Hi,

have you looked into the articles below on the client context?[1][2]. There doesn't seem to be much details about how the CC is used, perhaps debug it using dev tools in chrome etc?

An older page[3] seems to have a lot more detail
