Hi

With reference to the document at https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/author/site-page-features/launches/creating-launches.html#Cre....

I was trying to explore " Create Launch with New Template" feature in AEM6.2. However i did not see the radio button "using a new template to replace the page" displayed(as instructed in the document).
On further comparison I found that the option was available with the SP2 Package with AEM6.

Has AEM6.2 deprecated the feature?(Did not find any information in the release notes).Am I missing any hotfix Pack or configuration generally required for it?Please suggest.

Hi,

I just tried this in my 6.2 instance and see the option "using a new template to replace the page", please see the attached screenshot.

How did you try and create the launch? I went via the Sites console.

I tried both Sites and Launchers way in AEM 6.2 and I am able to see the option ! I just followed the same steps mentioned in the doc here [1]

Did you try on any other 6.2 instance ??

So,I tried navigating from sites console and was able to get the option as suggested. Here,The URL  becomes

http://localhost:4502/mnt/overlay/wcm/core/content/sites/createlaunchwizard.html/content/geometrixx-...

Whereas,If i navigate from the Tools>Sites>launches console the option does not show up.

http://localhost:4502/libs/wcm/core/content/sites/createlaunchwizard.html?redirect=/libs/launches/co....
 The parameter " notemplate=true" disables the radio button and the css is set to display none,as shown in the screenshot.

Hence the difference.

Although,as per me the functionality should have remained same when navigating from any console.

Hi Monalisa,

I found the same issue as you. Going via the sites console, I get the option, going via tools>launches or directly via https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/author/site-page-features/launches.html and I don't get the option.

I'll see if anyone internally can shed some light on this.

Thats interesting !! my 6.2 instance doesnt have any problems with both the ways !!
