Issue with Suspend/Resume Functionality in AEM Cloud Service

Avatar

Level 2

Hi Team,

I'm working with a language master and live copy pages with the following folder structure:

  • Language Master: /content/myproject/language-master/en
  • Language Copies: /content/myproject/language-master/<country codes>
  • Live Copies: /content/myproject/en

I noticed that the "Suspend" button is available on live copy pages under the "Live Copy" tab in the page properties. I suspended a parent page that has 100 subpages. After suspending, all the live copy pages reverted to regular pages. However, when I resumed the parent page, only the parent page returned to being a live copy, while all the child pages continued to behave as regular pages.

Is this behavior a bug, or is it expected?

Thanks in advance,
Veera

Haven't tried this but as per this https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/sites/administer...

When you re-enable inheritance, the page is not automatically synchronized with the source. If this is required, you can manually request a synchronization either at the time of resuming or later.

Also check for the inheritance depth of your live copy page once : https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/sites/administer...
