Issue with adding a custom language dictionary

Hi all, 

We have ran through the steps outlined here to create a custom language dictionary https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/develop/components/i18n/translator.html.

Though none of the values for our newly created custom language dictionary are being picked up in the web console?  Has anyone some good hints and tips for why this would have occurred.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
