Hi,

I have a parent page A of template X.

I have created a field in page properties called AltTitle.

Now I have created a child page to A called B of same template X.

I want to inherit the AltTitle value from parent page to child page.

Please provide any views for the same

Thanks!!

You could use the inheritanceValueMap to achieve this, but this inherited value is not reflected in page properties then. I don't know how you could achieve this so the inherited value is displayed in the page properties accordingly (eg grayed out, but with the ability of overwrite it).

Hi,

if your request is just to get the data from the parent and use it, I'm totally agree with Joerg.

If you need to make the value visible into the page properties, the only way is to make a customization of the field in order to get value also from the parent page.

If you need support on the second point, I could share with you a customization that i perform for my customer.

Let me know

Thanks,

Antonio
