Hybris 6.4 and AEM integration

Hi Experts

I am a hybris technologist and trying to integrate hybris (v6.4) with AEM (v6.2). I have followed the steps in here : https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/6-3/sites/deploying/using/hybris.html

Every step is successful. But I am not able to see the changes done in either of the systems in the backend. E.g.:

1. I am not able to see the checkout details of the customer being saved in the hybris
2. I am not able to see the changes in the product (hybris) get reflected on the AEM geometrix site.

My question is, where is the configuration that binds the hybris installation with the AEM. I am not running the hybris in embedded mode, and have a separate installation.

Please let me know if I am missing something.
