I think there is nothing like testing Uber jar installation.

The best way to use Uber jar is building the project that uses Uber as Scott stated.

Additionally after following the steps in https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/first-arch10.html

if you will create a class in core package, you will be able to extend the WCMUsePojo class and others.
