As part of migrating from 6.5 to AEM as a Cloud service, we have migrated SCD configuration for reverse and sync distribution on AEM as cloud Service. But it is not working on cloud environment, I am getting Connection time out error on author.
I followed this article -
on local, it's giving 500 server error.
Anyone know how to implement SDC in AEM as a cloud service, I can see forward distribution is present on author cloud by default with journal_vault.
But to how to implement Reverse/Sync Distribution in AEMasCS.
Thanks in Advance

Hi @nasrinj114 ,
Reverse replication (and sync between publishers) is not supported on the cloud, the reason being there is no point-to-point connection, check this documentation
Since the publisher pods are short-lived and may be added/removed on the basis of the usage. This is why we have a concept of Golden publish on the cloud through which publisher pods are created, and you cannot access the golden publish it's for internal work.
If your use case involves the sync of user data for end user login functionality, you can sync some parts of user data from publisher to publisher, and for that, you need to open a support ticket, please check this documentation
For other User-generated content, or use cases the recommended pattern is to store it outside of AEM which then can be shared between authors/publishers.
Hope that helps!

Nitesh

Thanks for this useful information @nitesh_kumar
Hi @nitesh_kumar ,
Can you provide more info on how to store user generated content in AEMaaCS. For ex customer reviews data which end user will be submitting.
Thanks,
Pardeep
