How to configure CQ 5.6 to index JavaScript files?

Avatar

Right now content of CSS and JS files are not indexed and are not searchable.

Is there a way to add them to the index and make their content searchable?

I guess file a DayCare ticket.

Could someone please explain if this is possible or not?

CSS and JS files are indexed currently. All files are indexed by default. What search interface are you using? What search specifically is failing?

Hi Justin,

I am using the Search field of CRXDE:

But searching for content inside JS is not returning them. For example searching for "maxRowExcl" I expect "/libs/cq/ui/rte/core/CellSelection.js" to appear in search results but it doesn't.

However searching, for example, for "snip off all trailing slashes" returns "/libs/cq/replication/components/treeactivation/POST.jsp" as expected.

So somehow contents of JS/CSS files are not being indexed it seems.

Interesting. I'm pretty sure this used to work. Sorry for the bad information.

No problem Justin. Should I raise a ticket with DayCare or would you be able to share a solution for indexing JS/CSS files here?
