Groups in AEM

Avatar

Level 1

We are having these groups in AEM as a cloud service instance

  • AEM Administrators-<SOME_STRING>

  • AEM Users-<SOME_STRING>

  • LICENSE_DEV_ADMIN_GROUP_NAME_SUFFIX

  • PRODUCT_ADMIN_GROUP_NAME_SUFFIX
  •

    1. What is the purpose of these groups, why are there multiple with different strings of numbers/letters?

    2. Are these groups auto generated by AEM? If so,what is the trigger/ process for auto-generation?

    3. Do we need these groups for AEM to function properly, or are we okay to delete them?

      Thanks in adv.

Hi @Amar_Hegde ,

You can either ignore these groups (as everything that is part of your profile is synced into AEM in AEMaaCS) or reach out to Adobe support in case you need more details.

Solved: AEM System groups - LICENSE_DEV_ADMIN_GROUP_NAME_S... - Adobe Experience League Community - ...

Thanks,

Ram

There are 2 ways to create user groups .

1.Create from cloud manager and assign the environment for each user .

2.Goto specific environment (DEV,STAGE , PROD) and create the users accordingly.

Thanks
