Enabling dispatcher to cache Vanity URLs

we know that the latest dispatcher supports the caching of vanity URL OOTB but this is the approach we followed in the previous dispatcher version to cache the vanity URLs.

Can you please explain and share some updated document that how the caching can be done for vanity url's and also how the cache will be invalidate on page activation for vanity url enabled pages.
