Dynamic Media Serve the actual image without compression

Hi All,

We have a usecase where we have a list of images that needs to be excluded from compression or smart imaging. These images are to be shared in original quality and size to preserve the content. Since we are using dynamic media and smart imaging capabilities DM automatically compress the image and also deliver it in webp/avif. Is there a way we can avoid this and serve the original image from DM without compression.

Tried couple of things but the size and quality differs from original image

All these improves the size a little bit  but still shows compressed and loss in pixels

Thanks,
Sherin

Hi,

What if you could simply use your public domain instead of the dynamic media one? For example, instead of https://mywebsite.scene7.com/content/dam/my/asset/folder.png, just use https://mywebsite/content/dam/my/asset/folder.png."

Hi @EstebanBustamante

yeah that its one of the options we have kept open if nothing else works out , but our idea is to leverage the smart cropping capability and move away from the renditions. This keeps only the original image in DAM and rest pushed to DM and served from there. That's why we want to have something in DM that can give us the original uncompressed one for the renditions and images.
