Is there a way to delay activating the page to Publish environment after the Approver approves the content.

I know that there is a 'Activate later' step to initiate the WF after a certain date. but this will only initiate the WF on that specified date.

but i want a way where i can start the WF today, let the approver approve it but delay the activation of the page to publish to a specified date.

Sure there is. Write a custom workfow step that delays the workflow for a specified amount of time before moving to the next action in the workflow. See this article to learn how to write a custom workflow step: http://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/creating-custom-aem-workflow-steps.html Hope this helps.
