Creating Role based access in AEM Website

Avatar

Level 3

Hi,

I have created a demo site having few pages, now I want to create users with different roles like authors, template authors, and end-users who can edit the website content based on the permissions given to them. I have no idea how I can do that. Can anyone help me with the steps to follow in order to achieve this, Can I do it through the dashboard or WCM console at my local??

or Do I need to have a licensed version of AEM to achieve this??

Thanks in advance.

Hello @Heena06,

For this purpose you would need to create users and assign groups (may be default built in group) to those users. Or if you want then you can create your custom group with restricted access to achieve your case.

Please refer https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/experience-manager-64/administering/security/security.html
You can access the user admin tool from here:
http://localhost:4502/useradmin

Hope this helps!
