_cq_template and data-sly-resource

I created a CTA component that has a _cq_template node to have some properties by default configured when the component is added to a page.

The same component is also used within other components, by means of a proxy with following syntax in the html:
<div data-sly-resource="${'cta' @ resourceType='xxx/components/content/cta'}"></div>

Problem: When the component is proxied in above way, the _cq_template is not taken into account.

Does anybody know if there is a way to have the proxied component also have the pre-configured properties applied ?
