Are you writing the same code and configuring the same page templates over and over again to initialize each site implementation? Do you wish you had a better starting point to enable faster go-lives?
If so, we have good news for you. In addition to the plethora of out-of-the-box tools that are already available in Adobe Experience Manager Sites, we are soon introducing new functionality that gives you a quick and easy starting point for any Adobe Experience Manager Sites implementation. With our new site template functionality, you can easily build and import templated experiences that allow you to reduce time spent on development and get you to populating content and styling immediately.
Get early access and try this new beta functionality out in our Create Your Own Site Template Contest, a no-risk way to practice building your own site template before the functionality is officially released later this year.
Contest challenge
- We’ll provide a few sample wireframes for inspiration. Your job is to create a full site template – which includes both the component and page template designs of your site as well as the accompanying front-end code. Use your creativity to design and build a site template that you believe would be a useful starting point for a variety of implementation projects. You can learn about site templates and how to build them here.
- By Friday, March 19, 2021: Submit both your design and code by uploading to your Github and completing the submission form with your GitHub link. See detailed instructions below.
- The strongest submission will earn a $1000 (USD) Amazon gift card and be selected as a finalist for our AEM Rockstar challenge, which is an opportunity to be recognized in front of the global customer audience as a top developer with expertise in the latest AEM tools and best practices. We will also feature the winning submission in an Adobe blog post and send the winner a personalized, engraved trophy from Adobe. The two runners up submissions will be awarded a $1000 (USD) Amazon gift card.
Eligibility
You must have access to an existing Adobe Experience Manager Sites Cloud Service sandbox or environment to participate. To participate, please fill out this form requesting access to the beta functionality. After receiving the form, Adobe will enable the beta features within qualified Cloud Service programs and notify you via email once the feature is available. Participants will be granted access to the beta features only for the duration of the contest.
While the contest is targeted towards partners in designer, developer, or architect roles, anyone who builds websites may participate. See the contest guidelines for details.
