Anyway to disable requests to devedge.day.com/cq5.gif?

Hi,

One of our testers noticed that upon opening a page in our CQ deployment, a request was sent to the following URL:

    https://devedge.day.com/cq5.gif?s=...&u=...&v=...&d=...&j=...&o=...

And the request, well, failed with net::ERR_TIMED_OUT in Chrome.

This looks like a request for gathering statistics about CQ5 installations, but is there a way to disable it?

Hi Sham,

I thought so. It is not a biggie. But it was giving us time out errors today. Is it because https://devedge.day.com/cq5.gif was down, etc.? Or has it always been like this?

I have filled request INFRA-4641 and might be fixed soon.

This is part of our license tracking and should be covered by our contracts. Disabling is possible but not really necessary however you need to go through daycare if it is giving tough time. Please file a support ticket.
