Following the instructions here : http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/release-notes-sp1.html and in particular this section :
INCLUDE SP1 WITH INITIAL INSTALLATION
Perform the following steps to install an initial AEM 6.0 instance with the Service Pack. This is required to install AEM with a Java 8 VM.
Login to Package Share and download the Service Pack 1 ZIP to your local file system
Unpack the Quickstart using the java -jar *.jar -unpack command.
Create the install directory in crx-quickstart.
Copy the Service Pack package in the install folder.
Start the QuickStart.
Everything worked and I can see the SP1 package in Package Manager.
My question is, that after the install, the extracted SP1 zip contents remain in the install folder under crx-quickstart. Is it ok to leave them there or can I safely remove them ?
Regards
Fraser.

Hi,
Once installed SP1 we can't uninstall it. you can leave it as it is if you want to work on top of new AEM6 features. In SP1 some of the issues are fixed. If you don't want to use SP1, copy jar and license file to other directory, change the port number and run it. Refer to know more about SP1: http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/release-notes-sp1.html
Thanks,
Arya.

You can leave & no need to delete. When cq restart next time it does not install again.
