AEM SPA editor, is this even used in production?

I've been working in the AEM industry for some years now. I have heard of the SPA editor, but is there actually anyone using this?

I don't see too much documentation on the web, which makes it harder for us to adapt to this somewhat new technology. Support is also not too great, making this technology non trivial with?
