AEM Page building and Layout environment: Drag and drop from a palette of page elements to change page designs

Hi,

I need to address the requirement of creating an AEM Page building and Layout environment, where we will be able to Drag and drop from a palette of page elements to change page designs.

The only design I am aware of, is a set of CSS and JS files, implemented as ClientLibs.

But these designs could not be dragged and dropped on to pages.

Please suggest how this requirement could be realized.

Any OOB support for this functionality?

Appreciate your help.

Than ks,

Rama.

Hi Rama,

Usually, the designs are at the template level or at the page level. If you want to have a different clientlibs to be used for a page, then go to page properties and give the designpath so that it applies that design to the page.

There is no drag n drop way to changing the design like the components.

Can you explain the difference between what you mean vs AEM functionality of letting authors drag and drop components from the AEM sidekick or side rails to build a page. Each component has script that can include clientlibs where CSS and JS is defined. You cannot drag and drop designs - only components that contain a reference to ClientLibs.
