AEM Assets and AEM Sites Integration - AMS

Avatar

Level 1

Hi community members,

We have an AEM Sites with AMS licence. Recently we have procured AEM Assets with AMS license for our increased number of assets and size.

I wanted to understand what options we have for integrating AEM Sites with AEM Assets so that all our assets are stored in AEM Assets and we consume them in AEM Sites.

Few things to consider, we already have lots of assets in AEM sites. So probably migration is also required for AEM Assets.

A possible solution I encountered is connected assets. Are there any other integration options?

Our overall idea is to manage all assets in AEM Assets. Is this a good idea?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hi @shams31 ,

Yes, you should consider migration first as AEM Assets instance should be only single source of assets so that there is no duplication.

Please consider below link for planning and migration of assets from sites instance to assets instance.

For connection between AEM sites and Assets are using connected assets. Alternatively you can consume assets using dynamic media, in case your organization has dynamic media licence

Thanks,

Hi @shams31 manage all assets in AEM Assets - Yes, great Idea. Please involve a CSE from AMS that will help you navigate through this.

Thanks
