Adobe Acquires Magento Commerce - Queries

Hi,

Kindly answer the following queries of mine on Adobe acquiring Majento.

1. Magento is an object-oriented PHP Framework and AEM is based on Java/J2EE Framework.

These two Frameworks are incompatible.

From this perspective, how these two products could be integrated?

REST based web service calls?

2. Integration via REST based web service calls is an already existing option (before this acquisition), I guess.

Then, what value add does this acquisition bring towards integration?

3. What are all the perceived short falls of AEM eCommerce, that has prompted this acquisition?

Ex: AEM eCommerce lacks predictive intelligence, that Majento has.

4. Has eCommerce Framework bridged up some of these gaps already? What are they?

5. "Magento Commerce Cloud will continue to be available as an offering within Adobe Experience Cloud."

Does this mean we will see only one cloud for AEM and Majento?

Appreciate your replies.

Thanks,

Rama.
