ACS commons 500 Error handling not working for pages created using sightly Templates

Hi, 

I have implemented error handling using acs commons, 500, 404 error handling is working when I use Pages created using jsp. But when I use pages which are basically sightly html templates only 404 works and 500 does not. 

Can any one help me on this issue?

I am also facing this issue. But in my cases all pages are in jsp.
