Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE) Summary: Enable Full PDF Preview in Brand Portal "Link Share" Mode
Use-case:

Brand and Creative teams frequently share CI guidelines and marketing documents with external agencies, vendors, and regional partners using Brand portal share link.

Current/Experienced Behavior:

Manually resending files or explain partial previews which in results in:

* Slower collaboration and review cycles

* Suboptimal brand experience for external stakeholders

* Inconsistent experience between internal and external user

Improved/Expected Behavior:

Providing a complete in-browser preview of multi-page PDFs is critical for:

* Ensuring brand consistency without needing to download files

* Reducing redundant back-and-forth communication

* Avoiding re-sharing or clarifying partially visible content

* Maintaining a seamless, professional experience for partners

Hello @Howardmp ,
I see what you mean - the behavior when sharing a document through the Brand-Portal Link-Share is totally different (and worse) than the experience through a direct link into Brand-Portal for authenticated users.

The direct link into the Brand-Portal exposes the "Document Viewer", enabling users to preview PDF documents without downloading them.

The AEM-Link-Share does NOT use the "Document Viewer", so only the extracted screenshot of the first slide is being shown.

This behavior stretches across all AEM variants (AEM6.5, AEM6.5 LTS, AEM Cloud Services, AEM Brand Portal) - even though AEM Cloud Services and Brand-Portal have implemented the "Document Viewer" in the authenticated preview (AEM6.5 and AEM6.5 LTS do not have the "Document Viewer" implemented as this viewer is a "cloud service" in itself).

I second the merit of this feature-request - it would make a lot of sense and bring major business benefit to be able to eg. share Brand-Guidelines to 3rd parties without the need to cerate a login for them!

Hello,

This would be a great enhancement as the customer is looking at creating an efficient ecosystem between them and their agencies, for a streamlined branding process built on clarity, collaboration, and efficiency—ensuring every step from concept to execution is seamless, focused, and aligned.
