Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE) Summary: |
Adding navigation controls to "Select Frame from Video" player in asset properties page when selecting a custom thumbnail |
Use-case: |
Users that select custom thumbnails for videos using the "Select Frame from Video" can't navigate forward or backward, forcing them to play the video in real time until they can find the right frame, and reload or play again from the beginning if they go too far. |
Current/Experienced Behavior: |
User navigates to asset properties page and clicks on "Change Thumbnail". On the "Select Frame from Video" tab, they can click on the video to play and pause. When the video is paused at the right frame, they can save it as the new custom thumbnail for the asset. |
Improved/Expected Behavior: |
The video player on the "Select Frame from Video" tab would have a navigation bar to be able to skip ahead or back in the video. It would also display the current time for the video. This would allow users to skip to the right minute and second and select the correct frame, rather than attempt to get there just using the play/pause button and not knowing what minute/second they have selected. |
