Reader Extension w/ Encryption

Is it possible to reader extend a PDF Form which has already been encrypted with a digital certificate?  These two methods seem to not work together since they're both certificates.  The result is that we cannot product 256-bit encrypted PDFs which are also reader extended.

Can you try the other way round? Encrypt a reader extended pdf

Unfortunately, I cannot encrypt using certificate after applying the reader extension.  The two methods cannot be used together regardless of the order. This is a flaw since passwords only provide 128 bit encryption, which is no longer compliant.  Thanks for your help.

It seem to be working as expected. What's your exact use case?
