Adaptive Streaming for Seamless Playback

Comes with full adaptive bitrate streaming support through which the player dynamically adjusts video quality based on the viewer’s bandwidth and device capabilities. That means smoother playback, fewer interruptions, and better engagement across all network conditions.

Enhanced Accessibility (WCAG 2.2 Compliant)

Designed with inclusivity in mind, the player supports screen readers, keyboard navigation, and high-contrast modes — ensuring compliance and a better experience for all users.

Modern UI & UX

A clean, intuitive interface optimised for both desktop and mobile devices featuring modern default icons.

@AbhishekBa Thanks for sharing this, Abhishek. The new Dynamic Media Video Player looks like a huge upgrade. The improvements in load time, LCP, and accessibility are impressive, and great to see innovation here.

A couple of quick questions:

  1. For existing Dynamic Media customers, how smooth will the migration path be to the new player? Will it mostly be configuration-level changes or require deeper implementation updates?

  2. On the performance side, are the byte savings and LCP improvements consistent across different video formats and player customizations, or do they vary depending on setup?

Excited to see how this evolves, the early access program sounds like a great way to get hands-on experience for our customers.

@kautuk_sahni Thanks for your queries. Please see my responses below:

1. For the migration to the new player, one would require configuration level changes at the author side to see the new player in preview as well as in DM component. From delivery perspective, older delivery URLs would need to be changed to replace old viewer URL with new viewer URL. For customers using DM component in their site pages, those pages would need to be re-published.

2. Byte savings and LCP improvements would remain consistent across different video formats and player customisations irrespective of the setup.

@AbhishekBa  Are we back to leverage video.js for Adobe OOTB video player? Can you please throw some light on roadmap for Video players recommended by Adobe. In my connect call with support, they asked to switch to scene7 OOTB video player if we need to leverage OOTB captions, audio files functionality.

It was not used in scene7 video player. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-learn/assets/dynamic-media/video/dynam...
