Session Details

Join us to discuss the digital ecosystem of content strategy- UX, architecture, marketing & editorial practices & how these areas align with Adobe products! The role of content strategy in today’s digital ecosystem has never been more convoluted ... or important. Because content is inextricably linked with code, how it’s defined must evolve. Explore a modern paradigm for content strategy with emphasis on one of the most misunderstood areas: content architecture. Through workflows, permissions, and authoring models, learn how content architecture is a crucial part of the infrastructure needed to achieve content velocity. Join us to discuss:

1. The interwoven systems of content strategy – UX, architecture, marketing, and editorial practices – and how these areas align to Adobe products

2. What the main elements of content architecture consist of within your digital ecosystem

3. Why content architecture and a holistic view of strategy are critical to content velocity

Session Q&A

Question Answer
I have an architecture question, which hope is covered. How do you decide where to author internationalized content for reuse? Always in the XF? Or the editable template? Or a page? It depends on the content. XFs are predominantly for reusable experiences (which may be reused across pages). Content Fragments are housed in Assets and are format free. They can be pulled into pages and/or experience fragments as needed
I have an architecture question, which hope is covered. How do you decide where to author internationalized content for reuse? Always in the XF? Or the editable template? Or a page? There are translation workflows & multi-site capabilities for all the different types, which allows for internationalization as needed
How would you answer the question: "What is the difference between a Data Architect vs. a Content Architect?" -- asking because of overlap where content in machine-generated. The two can overlap when the subject matter is content. Content Architects do work in data but may be aligned to a specific set of systems and experiences. They would supply the inputs that train systems to produce machine-generated content vs. only focusing on the data that crosses the systems (data lakes, etc) -- TLDR -- they own some of the same inputs/outputs.
Can reusable content snippets be used on different language sites? Are they translated? Yes, reusable Content Fragments can be used on different languages. Yes, there are workflows to handle the translation of content.
