In Adobe Analytics, if an eVar is set as Merchandising with "Conversion Variable Syntax", but "Merchandising Binding Event" is not set (defaults to "Binding Events"), what will the binding events be?

Hi k61152442,

By default (with ""Binding Events") when a merchandising evar is enabled, "All" Binding Events is selected even if the checkbox is not checked. The "Merchandising Binding Event" drop-down will show the binding event selection; on clicking through it, you will see that "All" has been selected.

Thanks!

Hi k61152442,

With conversion variable syntax for Merchandising eVars, the "Binding Events" have to be selected from the drop-down (that can be selected after checking the box for "Merchandising Bending Event"). You can select multiple binding events as well using Ctrl key on your keyboard.

Thanks!

Hi ishans9314858

Understood. However, the GUI allows for Binding Events to not be selected, and in our case a binding event seems to not have been selected - please see screenshot in the original post.

In the case that a binding event has not been selected, how does the system behave?

Thanks.
