Alerts for iOS Push notifications

Greetings All -

I'm hoping someone has encountered this before we have and has a solution.  We created a iOS push notification out of Adobe Message Center and selected the radio button for "Alert".  In testing it, we never get the alert sound.  We tested it in Pushwhoosh and we get the alert sound just fine.  So we suspect it is on Adobe's side.

We opened a support ticket for it  (as low priority)  I know push notifications are relatively new to Adobe campaign but just wondering if anyone else has encountered the same problem.

Thanks!

Hi Beth,

A couple of questions .

Is the same sound embedded in the Message center service as well ? Since the push would flow through Adobe Message center the sounds needs to be present both at the Marketing side as well as the message center.

Which connector are you using for the push ? Have you tried with the http/2 connector .

Url :http://localhost:8080/nms/jsp/iosHTTP2.jsp

The complete documentation can be found here :

Hi -

We only send push messages through message center - not through the marketing side.  The connector is set as you show above:

URL:http://localhost:8080/nms/jsp/iosHTTP2.jsp

We have been sending PUSH messages for months.  The only issue is that we don't receive the alert chime.   Our Adobe consultant was responsible for setting it up initially.  We are also using the Cordova plug-in.

Thanks.
