how to identify and find temp tables created by using option "Keep interm results between populaation" checked in wkfs

@DavidKangni @Craig_Thonis,

 

for all our wkfs  our campaign team is checking the box "keep interim results as checked lot of temp tables gets created and it's occupying a lot of space. Do you guys know how to drop these tables or is there any configuration to auto flush this. Note : We cannot uncheck the check box ( interim results ) as it's essential for us to view the targets."

and thi box is checked in all of our wkf since last 2years

do they start with something like

 

wkf733107840_4206_1
grp337632156

 

Please let us know

do we need to purge them all

how can we purge them in db?

It is not a best practice to keep this checkbox checked. And if you trying to delete the temporary tables then it defeats the purpose of checking it in the first place.

 

My recommendation would be to uncheck this checkbox in all workflows.

It is not a best practice to keep this checkbox checked. And if you trying to delete the temporary tables then it defeats the purpose of checking it in the first place.

 

My recommendation would be to uncheck this checkbox in all workflows.

    I just need one small info here

    our team is creating wkfs

    for eg: scheduled to run @9am daily

    and keeping this option"keep interim...." checked from last 2 years

    now coz of that so many temP tables are created in DB everyday

    NOW MY ASK IS

    1)if I disable/uncheck the option ""keep interim...  results....."  in wkfs

    will it delete all of my temp tables created since 2 years

    2)After unchecking the option ""keep interim...  results....."  in wkfs

    do we need to restart the wkf then only tables will be deleted by DB Clean up WKF or if we can simply disable this option  then THESE TEMP tables will be deleted by DB Clean up WKF

    Hello @shruti1,

     

    Yes, temporary table name start with ''wkf''. In fact the temporary table name is constructed as so : 

    wkf<workflow ID>_<task Identifier>_<incremental Identifier>.

    So you can know what tables are generated by which workflow.
