Best practice to disable users

Avatar

Level 2

We have a number of users who left the company who we would like to disable.  We have changed their passwords but it is being requested they be disabled since they keep showing up on a report that indicates they are active/enabled.

What is best practice here?

Hi @KristenCo4 ,

When you disabled an operator,  sometimes the workflow which that operator had created will get into paused state. So before disabling, get all the workflows created by those operators, and restart the workflow using a admin or a permanent operator account.

Later disabling the operator account is enough. And also make sure that there is no other test or dummy operator account which has admin access.

Thank you for the quick reply!  Can you elaborate on what you mean by this more?

@KristenCo4 , Lets say there is an operator-A with Admin access. Possibility is that the operator-A might had created an another test operator account with admin access for some task during the operator's work time. If this operator left the company, you will be disabling only the operator-A's operator account. But the test operator account with admin access will be still enabled. This is a security risk. So, identify such operator account as well and disable it.
