As we move towards the May 25th 2018 effective date of Europe’s new privacy law, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we wanted to take this opportunity to help you on your GDPR readiness journey. Applying appropriate, secure, and timely data retention policies to your data is an important part of complying with this obligation.

Customer Data Feeds (CDF)

We provide CDF files so you can work with Audience Manager data outside our user interface. Beginning March 26th, 2018, data retention period for CDF logs and outbound orders will be reduced from 30 days to 8 days.

Audience Manager Customer Impact

If you are currently leveraging CDF file data and/or batch outbound data, for additional use cases within your organization that may be time sensitive, we recommend that you update your workflow to copy the files to your servers within 8 days of generation. After March 26th 2018, this data will no longer be retained beyond 8 days.

*If  you are not currently leveraging CDF files today and are interested using this feature, contact your Audience Manager consultant or Customer Care to get started. Access to this data could be beneficial as a data source for raw data analysis such as modeling or attribution for internal data lakes. Data can be re-ingested into Audience Manager for activation

Audience Manager Activation Partner Impact

Activation partners leveraging batch outbound data orders will also need to update workflows to obtain within 8 days of generation. After March 26th 2018, this data will no longer be retained beyond 8 days.
