Hi,
We have our mobile app migrated to AEP Mobile SDK (React Native, using Edge Bridge extension as it is required to keep the trackState/Action calls), it was using an old SDK native with Analytics Extension before migration.
As far as I know, Page Events metric is comprised of Custom Links+Exit Links+Download Links, and they always match in the past, but since the SDK migration, number of Page Events is much higher than Custom Links+Exit Links+Download Links, it's about double and sometimes even more.
We have no idea what is adding to the Page Events, would like to see if anyone have experience on this situation.
Thanks,
John
Hi everyone,
We found another app upgarded to AEP Mobile SDK and using Edge to send data to AA, also having this issue, i.e. The Page Events count is much higher than Custom Links.
This has an impact to the server calls billing, so if you are running your app with latest SDK on Edge, you may want to check on this.

Hi @John_Man
My team is working on an app upgrade project from ACP SDK to AEP SDK, and will be leveraging the XDM/Edge approach. Just checked on the development report suite data and the page events seems much higher than the custom links.
Do you have any idea on why this happens? And is the server call billing based on the page events? Thanks.

After lots of research and testing, confirmed with Adobe support that Lifecycle calls for Edge Network will be counted into Page Events (it's counted into Custom Link in previous SDK).
And in Workspace interface there is no way to explicitly identify those Lifecycle calls, as far as we know you can only create a calculated metric with Page Events - Custom Links to get the number of Lifecycle calls consumed.
