Understanding the link between effective bandwidth and experience performance

I'd like to be able to understand how a user's effective bandwidth impacts on the success of our experiences. I don't believe this is currently offered within Analytics, but wondered if anyone has either integrated any third party tools (such as Boomerang or the Network Information API) into segments, or has any thoughts on criteria that are offered within Analytics that give us a proxy for bandwidth.

I appreciate it's a difficult thing to measure but my suspicion is that there is some detail lost in the averages: the experience for users with fast connections is great, and hides a poor experience for slower connections.
